HEY RAVE!!!  HOW ARE YOU DOING? I HOPE OK ? I DON'T HAVE ANY OTHER INFORMATION RE: THE NEXT ROUND OF HOUSING TALKS AT U.C.F. BUT IF IT WAS ME,I WOULD GET A GROUP OF ACTIVES AND ALUM'S. TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO TALK WITH THE VICE PRESIDENT OF STUDENT AFFAIRS. I ALWAYS START AT THE TOP. SO NO ONE CAN PASS THE BUCK.....THE PROPOSE OF THE MEETING WOULD (IN A FRIENDLY WAY) TO LET THE ADMINISTRATION KNOW THE WISHES AND DESIRES OF THE FRATERNITY.ALSO TO SHOW THE ALUM'S SUPPORT FOR ON CAMPUS HOUSING FOR B. H.. THE UP-DATE FROM DENNY  RE:THE QUAD, SOUND INTERESTING,I AM LOOKING FORWARD FOR MORE INFORMATION. I HOPE TO SEE YOU 4-21-07 AT THE 35 TH REUNION DINNER.                                            YOURS  IN ZXA........... Housing Update:

As you know, SAE is in the process of selecting anotehr group for their house.  Sig Ep is in talks with UCF regarding their house so they are not close to making any moves.

Last week the High Alpha, RJ, contacte dmyself, Puleo and Saunders regarding a Quad in the ghetto that is for sale.  Yes, for sale- not for rent.  As you may or may not know, the chapter has not had any living quarters for a number of years, so they are really pushing for the Quad.  We are looking to get the Housing Board together in order to discuss this as an option.  I will keep you informed.

I wanted to fill everyone in on the housing situation.  As you know, SAE is off for 6 years.  Sig Ep is off for 5.  I met with the SAE House Corp rep, along with the Alpha, Beta and Gamma.  We did a walk-through of the SAE House 3-4 weeks ago.  In total we were there for 1 1/2 hours.  We had to supply them with pertinent info: # of actives, dues recovered fo rthe past 2 years, GPA/academic standing, etc.  We did a great deal of due-diligence on our own accord.

Last week SAE contacted both myself and Scott Puleo (our House Corp President) and notified us that they are going forward with 3 other organizations to sub-lease their house.  2 are sororities and the other is a new fraternity (on campus for a year).

SAE still has to work out a deal with UCF in order to sub-lease their house, as UCF owns the land and can take it over if they so chose (however they do not want to do that).  basically, we are crushing SAE and there would never rent to us.  I would imagine Sig Ep would be same situation.

I think we should have the alumni meet up and discuss the options with the chapter. I truly think the chapter is going to need our help if they are to get a house. The next question i will ask is do you guys think it will be beneficial to have a house on campus with all that has been happening lately?

Who would be up for a meeting to discuss this? Maybe at hooters or winghouse? or rachels? haha

HI  RAVE' ....I HAVE HAD THE SAME QUESTIONS........BUT MINE GOES  BACK TO 1971.....ALL THE CAR WASHES, LAWNS  CUT ON WEEKENDS, PAINTING ROOFS WHITE,YARDS CLEANED UP AND PERSONAL DONATIONS OVER THE YEARS FOR THE HOUSING FUND ...WE  STILL  HAVE NO HOUSE. AFTER RECENTLY TALKING WITH SOME OF THE ACTIVE  BROTHERS.... I AM HOPING THAT THE NEW THINKING AT U.C.F. / ADM. WILL LOOK AT L.X.A BETA ETA CHAPTER LONG  RICH HISTORY OF BEING  A CAMPUS LEADER AMONG THE  CAMPUS ORGANIZATIONS  INCLUDING FRATERNITIES AND SORORITIES WILL PUT THEM 1ST ON THE LIST FOR THE NEXT ROUND OF FRATERNITY HOUSING. IT WOULD NOT HURT TO HAVE THE UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA'S ADMINISTRATION KNOW THAT BETA ETA HAS  STRONG ALUM SUPPORT. HAVING BEEN IN THE STATE UNIVERSITY SYSTEM /ADM. FOR OVER 15 YEARS IN STUDENT AFFAIRS I KNOW THIS IS ONE OF THE AREAS U.C.F WILL INVESTIGATE. WHEN IT  COMES  TIME TO PARTITION THE UNIVERSITY FOR THE NEXT HOUSING ROUND . WE WILL NEED TO SIGN THE LIST TO SHOW SUPPORT.  ( STEP 1 )     :)           MIKE ARGENTO  BH 16

Hello All!  It's great to have a forum to catch up with what's going on in everyone's world as well as see how our beloved UCF LXA chapter is progressing.

Does anyone know if UCF LXA has a house on campus yet or what the status is on that?  Last I remember (way back in 1995), most of the big ones had a house except for us and I remember we had a site but there was some endangered tortoise issue so we didn't close on the land.  I'm hoping we've made more progress since then...and news would be welcome!
